April 2012

In April, we were lucky enough to have a family friend take some super cute pictures of
Jayda & Lilly at Huntington Beach Central Park.

Easter was in early April and we were back in Virginia. It felt so good to be back with Daddy.
Russ was able to get us tickets to go to the Easter Egg Roll at the White House. He had to meet with the Brazilian President that day so he couldn't come. but I braved the cold, early morning, and long lines and took the girls by myself. Normally this wouldn't seem like a big deal, but I was big and pregnant and miserable. I was contracting every 3-5 minutes and each step I took hurt pretty bad. It was a TON of walking and my body hurt after for nearly a week, but it was so worth it! What a cool experience for the kiddos to get to enjoy Easter festivities at such a special place. Take notice of my belly...it's one of the only shots I have of myself pregnant!

Here are the girls & Russ on Easter Sunday.

It was also fun to see Uncle Austin on a billboard right in TIMES SQUARE!

And on the back of US WEEKLY! It's seriously CRAZY to have Jayda see her Uncle Austin on the back of a magazine that a lady was reading in line at Wegmans!

March 2012

On March 16, our little Lilly Mae turned 3!

Lilly loves Minnie Mouse & the entire Disney cast of The Mickey Mouse Clubhouse. She loves string cheese, scrambled eggs, TopaRamin, singing Adele's Rolling in the Deep, and playing dress up. Her favorite thing to do is paint and draw and she loves to cuddle with her Grammy. She is still really difficult to understand when she speaks, but she does a great job at being creatively descriptive to get her point across. Whenever we are out running errands or away from the house she begs to go home to see her Riley.

We were lucky enough to be in California for Lilly's 3rd birthday and threw a big pizza party bash complete with a bounce house , pinata, and face painting. Russ surprised her and flew out for the weekend to celebrate at her Mini Mouse Birthday Party and she was surrounded by her entire family - grandparents, uncles, aunts, cousins, and friends!

We sure love our Lilly Mae.
